Very disappointed in Vortex Doors customer service. We had an double glass door install a little over one year ago for almost $10,000, which we were happy with. The lock on the door stopped working so we gave them a call to fix it only to find out that they cover the parts but not the labor. 1st hour, 400+ dollars & 2nd hour, $200+ dollars. That is ridiculous! You think you would support your customers.

Miguel and I Kevin installed a front door to our robotics lab. They meticulously worked on the fitting, grind down metal extrusion, tested the door open/close over and over for any check imperfection. Miguel went further to show me how the door works and taught me how to operate the Allen lock for frequent open and close. The new door is a great upgrade and I’ve even made a video for other parents of our team.

The two guys vortex sent, joe and alphonso, were on-time and efficient in their repair of my door. They did a terrific job of communicating the problem and the solution. Would gladly recommend to anyone in need of door repairs. PostScript--Since those two actually didn't fix the door so I still had a problem to deal with. I ended up finding the part myself and fixed myself. So when I got a bill from them for $1,000 in labor fees I was stunned. They could have been a my building for more than half an hour. They didn't actually provide me with any materials. All they did was look at the door tell me what was wrong and informed me that it would be at least a week till the part was in. Which is all great but $1,000 for that is insane. I have tried to reason with them because I do believe they deserve to be paid for their time but $1,000 is totally unreasonable. The only reason for the glowing review at the beginning was because I was trying to be a nice guy and they basically begged me to write one. However..... That was before I got the bill
