Vortex Recognized as Most Loved Workplace
We are excited to announce that Vortex has been named the Most Loved Workplace of 2024 through Newsweek Magazine. This recognition aligns with our commitment to create a delightful and dynamic work environment for our employees.
Vortex was selected for this honor based on a rigorous assessment of workplace culture, employee satisfaction, Company values and mission alignment, career development and growth and direct employee feedback received through our internal voice of the employee survey. The award reflects the company’s dedication to fostering a culture where employees feel valued, empowered, and inspired to do their best, which also creates opportunities to grow and advance careers.
CEO, Kristin Slyker, expressed pride in the company’s achievement: “We are incredibly proud to be recognized as Most Loved Workplace. This award is a testament to our team’s hard work, dedication, and the collaborative culture we’ve built together. We believe that when our employees thrive, our customers benefit, which allows us to grow our business and create opportunities for internal career advancement. At Vortex, we are committed to both our customers and our employees”.
Over the past two years, Vortex has implemented several initiatives to enhance employee well-being, which include: wellness programs, morning stretch-and-flex sessions, regular employee appreciation events at each location, peer to peer employee recognition program, career path program, above market compensation, and service technician training elevating 400 employees in 2023 and an additional 300 employees in 2024. These efforts have resulted in Vortex attracting top talent to best serve customers and we have increased retention to a strong 82%.
As Vortex continues to grow across the nation, we remain focused on maintaining a family culture with our employees having pride in the company, sense of ownership, and who humbly treat each other with respect. The leadership team is excited to build on this success and will continue to create a workplace where everyone can thrive, and we can continue to be the place to work.
